The BIZremedies Story (cont.)
Strategic Planning consultant, Susan K. Wehrley, and former Founder and CEO of Fiserv, George Dalton, have teamed up to create BIZremedies, an online Collaboration Hub for Strategic Growth that just launched in the beginning of June 2011.
Wehrley got the original idea for BIZremedies in 2008, when the economy started to downfall. Being a Strategic Business Consultant for 24 years, she received many inquires from businesses asking for resources to help them be strategic and lean. At the same time, several consultants asked for advice on how to grow their business in these difficult times. As a result of the market’s need, Wehrley came up with the idea of BIZremedies and originally started it as a site to promote consultants through in-person Lunch and Learn Programs and online profiles. However after two years of test marketing BIZremedies, Susan saw where the real need was in the marketplace: To create an online collaboration hub with tools and tips on Strategic Growth, Leadership and Employee Engagement.
Dalton saw the growth potential in this new plan where any employee, leader, business owner or consultant could sign up for BIZremedies for free and create a profile like the other social media sites, getting them connected with one another sharing and collaborating on ideas. Yet, BIZremedies offers not only connection among business people in the world through their profiles, forums, and webinars, but it also includes five strategic ways to grow on the site: through the Leadership Hub, the Employee Engagement Hub, the Consultant Hub, the Best Practices Hub and the Project Hub.
The BIZremedies Leadership Hub offers companies the opportunity to provide their managers-at every level- the opportunity to increase their leadership skills through a 5-step Leadership training video, featuring Susan K. Wehrley and George Dalton. Utilizing over 20 years of strategic consulting and training, Wehrley serves as the trainer throughout the video while Dalton shares business best practices from his experience growing Fiserv from 206 employees to 26,000 employees. In addition, monthly webinars and daily forums are included in the Leadership Hub to provide collaboration for peers within the same level of management.
For companies who are ready to engage their employees and effectively apply the practices learned in the Leadership Hub, they can sign up for the BIZremedies Employee Engagement Hub and enjoy the benefits on their own private online collaboration system, that allows them to create, measure, market, manage and execute their Strategic Plan via BIZremedies Employee Engagement Hub's workbook and collaboration tool. The Employee Engagement Hub provides employees and customers the ability to complete a SWOT analysis, giving valuable input on ideas for the Strategic Plan and guarataneeing future buy-in. In addition, employees are able to give input and collaborate on the company’s vision, mission, values and goals, ensuring engagement, understanding and buy-in to the plan. In addition, the Employee Engagement Hub provides managers and employees the ability to easily update initiatives and have real-time access to the status of those key initiatives, eliminating costly meetings that would otherwise be had to share this information. With a tool like this, there is a much greater openness, transparency and ability to keep the Strategic Plan alive, promoting focus, synergy and success within a company.
“I have found that creating the vision, mission, values and goals is the easy part of Strategic Planning. What is difficult is getting the employees to connect with the initiatives necessary to meet the goals and the constant attention that is needed to ensure that those initiatives are on track amidst the other day-to-day responsibilities. Our program ensures this “buy-in” and daily attention occurs because we engage employees in the process from the very beginning to the end,” says Susan K. Wehrley founder and CEO of BIZremedies. In addition to the Strategic Planning and Management function of the Employee Engagement Hub, there is a ROI (Return on Investment) Calculator; a Performance Review and Performance Planning Tool; and a Recognition Board so employees can continually praise one another for their contribution. “The Recognition Board adds an element of social media fun, as people continually post updates on what they are working on and praise one another for their contribution. This creates a healthy competition in the company: One that is collaborative and fun, and therefore ensures the system will be used,” says Wehrley.
We welcome to our online business community…We want to help you grow!
